Bookmarklet allows you to easily add bookmarks from your favorite web browser!

Step 0: Before you start...

Before moving on to the first step, please make sure that you have done the followings:

  1. Configured the bookmarklet behaiviour
  2. Copied the bookmarklet to your clipboard

If you satisfy all, move on to the next step.
If not, please go back to the app and follow the steps provided.

Step 1: Bookmark this page

Bookmarklets are bookmarks which contains JavaScript commands. To create a bookmarklet, first you need to create a bookmark.

For Safari Users:
  1. Tap the Share icon on the bottom toolbar
  2. Tap Bookmark
  3. Tap Save
For Chrome Users:
  1. Tap the Menu icon, next to the tabs icon
  2. Tap the Star icon to create a bookmark
  3. Tap Save

Step 2: Edit bookmark

In the previous step, you bookmarked this page.
Now you want to edit it, and replace its URL with the bookmarklet you've copied to the clipboard.

For Safari Users:
  1. Tap the Bookmark icon on the bottom toolbar
  2. Tap the Edit icon on the bottom left
  3. Find and tap the bookmark named "Adding bookmarks using bookmarklet :: Pincase - A simple, elegant and powerful Pinboard.in client for iOS"
  4. Clear the URL field
  5. Paste bookmarklet that you have on your clipboard
  6. Tap Done to finish and save
For Chrome Users:
  1. Tap the Menu icon, next to the tabs icon
  2. From the menu, tap on Bookmark
  3. Tap the Edit icon
  4. Find and tap the bookmark named "Adding bookmarks using bookmarklet :: Pincase - A simple, elegant and powerful Pinboard.in client for iOS"
  5. Clear the URL field
  6. Paste bookmarklet that you have on your clipboard
  7. Tap Save to finish and save

Step 3: You are done!

How to use bookmarklet

What you need to do is, basically, to select the bookmark(let) you've created.

For Safari Users:

  1. Find a website that you want to bookmark
  2. Tap the Bookmark icon on the bottom toolbar
  3. Find and tap the bookmark named "Adding bookmarks using bookmarklet :: Pincase - A simple, elegant and powerful Pinboard.in client for iOS" and you are done!

For Chrome Users:

  1. Find a website that you want to bookmark
  2. In the URL bar, type in "Adding bookmarks using bookmarklet :: Pincase - A simple, elegant and powerful Pinboard.in client for iOS"
  3. Tap on "Adding bookmarks using bookmarklet :: Pincase - A simple, elegant and powerful Pinboard.in client for iOS" and you are done!
